Where can I get lovely girls cot bed duvet covers from that aren’t covered in cartoons or tacky big pictures?

Monday, June 7th, 2010

I’m looking for a nice duvet cover to fit cot bed size duvet. Does anyone know of any companies that sell good quality lovely bedding? I can only find things with big emblems or cartoon characters on them. I tried Mothecare, The White Company, Next, Laura Ashley

Try looking in the regular linen department and not in the children’s. Target, K-Mart and Sear’s have LOADS.

Where to find duvet covers?

Where can I find cheap duvet covers? I want pink. I don’t want to spend to much. I have tried a lot of websites such as pbteen, walmart, urban outfitters, target, overstock, ikea, and kmart. I don’t want to spend a lot.

How about using bed sheets. That would be an inexpensive way to go. And then just use tacks to hold it on. Hope this helps.

Can you take two comforters of same length to make one wider one?

Long story short, I have a pre-made, ironed-together duvet cover that’s great for 80×86, which is bigger than our 76×86 and would be a perfect fit to the bed.
The stores are an hour away, and I already went and bougth a new comforter that oops! is also too small.
Can I just avoid the whole rigamarole by cutting and stitching two together?
How?
Thanks for your help! And also, it would help me go even greener by recycling two of the five extra we have!

Sounds like it will work, I would make sure that the comforter will not be bigger in size than the duvet. I think this is a great idea for using the resources you have.
